Questions

Before you adopt

Are regals good for beginners?

Yes. They're calm, curious and easy to keep, and the Newbie Pack and care guide cover the basics.

Is shipping safe for a live spider?

We ship only on Tuesdays, so no package waits in a warehouse over the weekend. Before every shipment we check the forecast at both ends, add a heat or cold pack when it calls for one, and wait for a safer day when it is too hot or too cold.

Is there a Live Arrival Guarantee?

Yes, when you choose FedEx pickup at checkout and collect your regal from a nearby FedEx Ship Center. How the guarantee works

What do they eat?

Live insects. Adopted regals eat blue bottle flies or mealworms once or twice per week. The Newbie Pack includes a month of mealworms.

How big do they get?

Adult females are about the size of a quarter; males are a little smaller.

How long do they live?

Usually around 2 years for females, and 1.5 years for males, with good care.

New clutches are rare.
