Terms of Sale

These terms apply to every purchase from Heritage Regals: live Regal Jumping Spiders (Phidippus regius), the Newbie Pack, and the Jumping Spider Care Guide. By placing an order, you agree to them.

Prices are in US dollars. Payment is processed securely by Square; we never see or store your card details. A spider is reserved for you for ten minutes while you check out, and your order is confirmed once payment is complete.

All sales are final. Once paid, an order cannot be cancelled or refunded. For shipments covered by the Live Arrival Guarantee below, it is the remedy if something goes wrong in transit.

We ship within the contiguous United States only: the lower 48 states and Washington, D.C. Spiders leave on Tuesday mornings and arrive Wednesday by FedEx Priority Overnight or Standard Overnight, or Thursday by FedEx 2Day, whichever you choose at checkout. Orders paid by Sunday at 11:59 PM Eastern ship that Tuesday; orders paid later ship the following week. Shipping is charged at checkout from a live FedEx rate.

Some shipments are held at a FedEx location for pickup instead of delivered to your door. The name on the order must match your photo ID at pickup. Please collect the package promptly.

We check the forecast at both ends before every shipment and add heat or cold packs at no charge when needed. If conditions fall outside our safe range, your spider stays in our care and ships at the next safe window, and we will let you know. A weather delay is not grounds for cancellation or refund.

Our Live Arrival Guarantee covers every shipment held at a FedEx location for pickup, on any shipping service. Shipments delivered to a home, a workplace, or any other address are not covered. Packages addressed to a FedEx, shipping, or retail store without using our pickup option are not covered. If something is wrong with a covered shipment, contact us within two hours of delivery receipt, with clear photos and video of the package and spider. When those conditions are met, we make it right: you choose a comparable spider, and it ships the following week, free of charge. We cannot honor contact made more than two hours after delivery receipt.

The Newbie Pack is a $10 add-on at checkout and ships in the same box as your spider. It includes our PDF Care Guide, a birth certificate, one month of mealworms, a mini spray bottle, a hygrometer and thermometer, tweezers, and a paint brush.

The Jumping Spider Care Guide is a PDF, $10 on its own and also part of the Newbie Pack. It is downloaded from your account and is for your personal use. Please do not copy, share, or resell it.

Coupons earned through registry badges take their percentage off one spider, the first in your order, and several may be used together on that spider. The Founder discount comes off every spider in an order. Neither applies to the Newbie Pack or to shipping.

By purchasing a live animal, you confirm that you may legally keep it where you live and that you will provide it with proper care.

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms shown here when you place an order are the ones that apply to it.
